North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton metro area makes Forbes list for job growth

The North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota metropolitan statistical area cracked the top 10 of U.S. metropolitan area for projected job growth, according to Forbes.

North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton ranked #10 on the publisher's new list of the "10 best cities for job growth." The rankings came from Forbes' look at the 200 largest metro areas in the country for an annual feature on the best places for business and careers. The list considers projected job growth over the next three years, as forecast by Moody's Analytics.

The Forbes report notes that five metro areas in Florida made the top-ten list, driven mainly by their significant and growing retiree populations and the jobs needed to service them. Other Southwest Florida cities on the list include Naples and Cape Coral.
