Power up! / Technology and the illusion of creativity

According to this article from the Association of Supervision and Curriculum (ASCD), teachers can be lulled into the false impression that using technology alone is developing creativity.  With access to built-in graphics, using programs like Prezi, or devices like tablets with microphones, tech-savvy students are able to create brilliant work. While these and the other plentiful art tools available can assist in developing engagement and the quality and quantity of creativity can increase, in most cases they fail to teach originality or innovation.
